Overview

South Haven Baptist Church’s 500-seat sanctuary underwent a multi-phase renovation led by the Paragon family of companies, with initial updates completed in 2017, followed by acoustical enhancements in 2019 and ReveLux StoryGlass LED walls in 2023.

Lighting & Rigging

Paragon designed and installed (26) ETC Source Four Ellipsoidals, (14) Chauvet COLORDash Par Hex 12 fixtures, and (10) ETC SmartBar 2 dimming units, all controlled via a High End Systems Hoglet console. Embedded LED lighting in custom scenic elements enhances the worship environment. To preserve the church’s historic wood ceiling, Paragon's rigging team utilized custom beam brackets and 90’ of Applied Electronics truss, ensuring a seamless blend of tradition and modern lighting.

Audio Enhancements

Paragon upgraded the existing audio system with a BSS Blue 100 Processor, Audix Microboom MB8455 Choir Microphones, and EAW front-fill speakers, optimizing sound quality while preserving the church’s prior investment.

Custom Scenic & Architectural Elements

Custom-designed wall sconces, faux stone and wood columns, and an illuminated baptistery transformed the sanctuary. Prefabricated scenic elements reduced costs and minimized downtime, delivering Paragon’s signature design-build approach.

The custom lighting design, along with embedded LED elements, enhanced the worship environment, while Paragon’s rigging team used custom solutions to protect the church’s historic wood ceiling. Additionally, the sanctuary was transformed with custom scenic elements such as wall sconces, faux stone and wood columns, and an illuminated baptistery, all designed to reduce costs and downtime while maintaining high-quality aesthetics.
